This course is designed for Linux software developers. Teaches the essential tools in Linux software development: compilers, debuggers, memory debuggers and version control system; Linux operating system facilities: child process, multi-threading, files, interprocess communication techniques such as pipes, name-pipes, network sockets programming; System V IPC such as share memory, semaphores, and introduction to graphical programming. It is conducted using C as the reference language.
Targets at the advanced Linux users, system administrators and software developers. Learn how to automate jobs in the Linux and Unix environment. Teaches what systems scripts are doing, and possibly modify systems scripts. Essential for advanced systems administrators and software developers. We could also adapt the course for other flavours of Unix shells, for example, Korn Shell.
Advanced Perl Programming course is designed for software developers who already has some experience in Perl Programming, and intends to learn advanced skills in the Perl Programming language.
Parallel Programming with MPI Programming teaches parellel programming using the MPI library of extensions to C and Fortran. The Message-Passing Interface or MPI is the most widely used standards for parallel programming.
